Walkthru Labs for nonprofits

A Grade A website for your nonprofit. Free.

We build a new website for 12 nonprofits a year, one a month. The build is free. Hosting is free for the first year, then $49/month. Every page is 100% customizable, and there is no WordPress to patch.

01 · The deal

Three numbers. No fine print.

$0to build it, including the move off your old site.
$0for hosting in the first year.
$49/monthfor hosting from year two.

What we ask in return. Three things, and none of them is money:

/01

A footer credit

A small "Built by Walkthru Labs" line at the bottom of your site.

/02

Introductions

Your board and your donors know business owners. If one of them needs a better website, introduce us.

/03

A case study

Permission to show your site, before and after, as an example of our work.

02 · What "Grade A" means

We grade it the way Google does.

Grade A means the site scores in Google's green band (90–100) on Lighthouse, the test behind PageSpeed Insights, for performance, accessibility and best practices, and it passes Core Web Vitals on a phone: the main image shows in under 2.5 seconds, nothing jumps as the page loads, and the page answers a tap straight away.

Measured 18 Sep 2026 at 8:10 a.m. MT with Lighthouse 12.8.2, three mobile runs, on our first program build, a family-run charity in Layton, Utah, before launch. The same build scores 100 for performance on desktop. Its SEO score stays low until launch day, because we keep previews hidden from Google on purpose.

100% customizable means we write the site by hand. There's no page-builder template and no plugin. Every page, color, font, form and photo can change, and nothing depends on a theme vendor staying in business. You never run a WordPress update again.

03 · Who's behind this

04 · Questions

Straight answers.

Who can apply?
Nonprofits and charities. Tell us your 501(c)(3) status on the form. If you already have a website, that's fine: we rebuild it and move you off the old one.
How do you choose?
We take 12 a year, one a month, from the applications. We read every one.
What happens after the first year?
Hosting is $49/month from year two. The build itself is never billed.
Why do this for free?
Because a nonprofit's board and donors know a lot of business owners, and business owners are who we work for. A great site for a good cause, plus a few introductions, is a fair trade.
