The challenge
In January 2026, Semrush found osborne-electric.com in Google's top 100 for 11 keywords, with about 6 visits a month. For a contractor serving five counties, the site was close to invisible.
Search volume for the trade is real but scattered. Most of it sits in city-plus-service phrases and in generator searches, which few local competitors target. The old site had no page aimed at most of them.

Keyword research
Before we write a page, we find the searches that bring Osborne Electric & Contracting work. These are the terms from our research, with the monthly search volume, how hard each one is to rank for, and what an ad click costs.

The plan
Research
We mapped electrician searches by county and city, and found the generator cluster: low difficulty, and little paid competition.
Rebuild
A static site with a page for each service and each city or county they serve.
Check every claim
We tied each licence statement to the state register and added a build check. The site will not deploy if a page breaks one of those rules.
Make it readable to AI search
We added a brand-facts file, llms.txt, and FAQ schema that matches the visible page.
Build behind the site
A lead filter, a private dashboard, and a material-list method for bids, taken from the owner's own worksheets.

What we built
- 51-page website
- 12 service pages, 26 city and county pages, and resource guides, on an Eleventy static site.
- Generator pages
- A generator installation page aimed at a cluster of standby, whole-home and transfer-switch searches.
- Claims check in the build
- A script checks licence wording and review markup on every page. A violation stops the deploy.
- AI-search files
- brand-facts.json, llms.txt and a generated llms-full.txt, FAQ schema on every page, and all major AI crawlers named in robots.txt.
- Lead routing and filter
- Form leads go to the owner by email. Cold sales pitches are caught and sent elsewhere, and the record is kept.
- Flight Deck dashboard
- A private, PIN-protected dashboard for the business at flight.osborne-electric.com.
- Bid material lists
- A symbol-to-parts assembly for electrical bids, checked against three of the owner's real jobs.
